Stylized and quilted by the artist Sally Hutson
Sally Hutson has a rich background in creative sewing and needlework. She is a textile historian with a diverse collection ranging from vintage to new, which serves as inspiration for her work. Sally's passion for sewing dates back to her early years, starting with her beloved old-fashioned treadle machine that she convinced her uncle to upgrade to electricity and now primarily uses her trusted Bernina machines.
Throughout her career, she has had various roles including residential child care officer, country club manager, publican, restaurateur, loss adjuster, historian, publican, teacher, lecturer, and most importantly, a mother.
